Care Philosophy
In providing care to my patients, while there are many important aspects, two things are of great significance to me. Number one is providing current, up to date, and proven care options for my patients. Not only do I have the benefit of over 30 years of active practice experience in my specialty, but I am also passionate about the continued pursuit of excellence and staying current with newer therapeutic approaches. Part of this motivation comes from being an active clinical instructor for many years in both the University of Wyoming Family Medicine department and the University of Washington School of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynecology. The second thing that is very important to me is providing compassionate and personalized medical care. We are all unique individuals with unique experiences and problems, and we all deserve respect and empathy. As physicians, we can all get busy and sometimes feel rushed, but I really make an honest effort to give each patient the personalized attention that they deserve in helping them understand their healthcare options for maintaining and improving their health.
Interests & Activities
I grew up on a farm and ranch outside of Mitchell, Nebraska, so I love all animals. I have over the years raised chickens, ducks, turkeys, rabbits, goats, horses and cattle. I love to cook and have experimented with things such as making my own goat cheese and making mead from honey. Family is very important to me, I have 4 grown sons, the youngest is 22 and in nursing college in Cheyenne and the oldest is an Air Force Major. I have one grandson, and 4 granddaughters, the most recent are identical twin girls born last September to my oldest son. I was widowed but will be marrying an amazing man (also a widower) on May 28, this year.

Dr. Eskam was my doctor for nearly 20 years in Cheyenne. When I learned she was at Banner Health in Torrington I decided it was worth the 3 hour drive (round trip). She is a God-send.
