Dr Haferkamp is always attentive and always remembers my situations at home and possibilities of stress I may be under.

I have seen Dr. Haferkamp for years, with a 4 year break when we moved to TX. I asked that he take us back when we returned to live in Phoenix. We were some of his first patients when he came to Banner. He has seen us through health, cancer, cardiac disease, diabetes, colds and everything in between. I feel he looks out for us. I have referred him to friends and my whole family sees him now. I did have to ask that he take us back as new patients and add my son and daughter-in-law to his practice. They like much, as well. I like that he sees us all and has a basis of my husband and my health issues so he knows what he may be dealing with in our son. Everyone should have a doctor like Dr. Haferkamp. Luv him!

Good listener. Thorough in asking questions. He checks my records and researches the presenting symptoms efficiently, often while with me in the exam room. He personally calls or emails me (through Banner portal) with results of tests or answers to questions. Warm, yet professional demeanor.

Dr. Haferkamp has always sent us to outstanding specialists. He listens to my health concerns, stays on top of the other specialists I see, responds to my prescription renewals, is flexible with appointments being telehealth when that is an option (i.e. not needing vitals check but just follow-up of, for instance, to a Dr. Haferkamp ordered iron infusion.) When consecutive labs are required, he orders directly to Sonoran Labs (most convenient for me) so I don't have to carry paperwork.

Explained in previous comments. Dr. Haferkamp is the BEST internist I have ever had (and I'm approaching my eighth decade so lots of previous internal medicine doctors over the years.) Dr. Haferkamp is thorough, efficient, and most importantly patient. In other words, he has never been condescending, quick to dismiss, nor impatient.
