My approach to care is focusing looking at the person in front of me as a whole, in the context of their family, culture and community. Continuity of care is very important to me as it is important to get to know my patients over time. I love to care for the entire family, from newborns to grandparents.

Dr. Matern is very nice and understanding. Sometimes because I have brain injury providers can be very impatient to me or just don't care because my sentence structure isn't the best and I'm slow. Dr. Matern actually listens to you and can figure out what I'm trying to say even though I may not articulate well. She's a very kind lady.
