Interests & Activities
Dr. Thompson’s passion for medicine stems from an insatiable desire to diagnose and treat diseases that cause human suffering, with a practice emphasis in Nuclear Oncology. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Florida, where she earned acceptance into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Dr. Thompson’s commitment to improving communities also lead her to earn a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with highest honors from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. After completing an internship in Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston Massachusetts, she completed her Diagnostic Radiology Residency at the University of California, Davis California, followed by a subspecialty Fellowship in Nuclear Medicine at Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto, California.
Dr. Thompson is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and the American Board of Nuclear Medicine, and she is an active member of several medical societies. With a background as a cell and molecular biologist at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and Vitra Bioscience, she is deeply inspired by the transformative potential of molecular imaging and Theranostics in improving patient outcomes. Dr. Thompson seamlessly blends her scientific expertise with excellent communication and teaching skills, bringing warmth, compassion, and a collaborative spirit to her interactions with both colleagues and patients.
Outside of work Dr. Thompson enjoys traveling, community service, hiking and outdoor recreation.
