Care Philosophy
I am originally from Texas and have trained all over the country. I come from a long line of farmers, ranchers, and teachers, but I am the first in my family to become a physician. I feel strongly about creating clear lines of communication and plans with patients, their families, and the care teams so we can work together towards a common goal. My favorite surgeries are coronary artery bypass grafting and valve replacements. I approach treating and caring for patients with compassion, precision, and partnership. I am fortunate to be trusted by patients and their families, and I do everything in my power to honor that responsibility. My care philosophy centers on surgical excellence, patient-centered, decision making, interdisciplinary collaboration and compassionate care.
