Care Philosophy
I believe patient-centered care is key. Modern medicine offers many guidelines which are often interpreted as mandates, but patient-centered care recognizes that what the patient wants is critical to their overall outcome. It determines their compliance to medical therapy and satisfaction with the outcome. I also believe that harnessing the resources of multidisciplinary care really provides the best of 21st century medicine. Working with our colleagues rather than having a captain of the ship philosophy allows partnership and collegiality. Lastly, I love what I do! I think that translates to how patients experience our care. When you care about what you do, it is not a job: it is a passion.
