Care Philosophy

Each patient has their own unique set circumstances that caused their heart disease. A body of literature and guidelines exist to describe the ideal care per current data. I believe tailoring the existent knowledge to each patient’s specific needs will provide the best care. Thus, I strive to understand each patient as a whole person and then tailor the existing knowledge to optimize the care. Sometimes, a defined solution is not available. When that happens, I will do my utmost to explore what is possible. Regardless of the situation, I will walk with the patients throughout their entire journey.

I’m passionate about advancing heart failure care through innovative devices, myofilament research, and digital twin technology. As a USAF veteran, I value collaboration and precision medicine. Family is my top priority, and outside of work, I enjoy classical music, playing the violin, and exploring the outdoors through running and hiking.
