Care Philosophy
In my role as a resident, I actively contribute to improving patient care through collaboration within a dedicated resident clinic. By closely working with attending physicians, our team approach ensures that patients benefit from a comprehensive evaluation and treatment plan, drawing upon the combined expertise of experienced attendings and enthusiastic residents who are eager to incorporate the latest advancements in medicine.
Banner – University Medicine Family Medicine Clinic takes pride in the excellent care patients receive by combining academic training with faculty physicians. Our Center includes care of children, adolescents, adults, maternity care, women’s health issues, and older patients. We provide preventive care and manage chronic diseases. Family-centered maternity care is unique to our practice. We provide prenatal care, delivery, and newborn care for your baby. Our unique team approach ensures superior patient experience through the delivery of comprehensive, coordinated and accessible care. It would be our privilege to care for you and your family.

From the moment he stepped foot in the room, Dr. Cotter was very warm, welcoming, and felt genuine in his demeanor. He seemed very knowledgeable about the things we spoke of - though he didn't need to do much during this visit as it was just a follow up visit from what I had been doing with my pervious doctor, he still was able to add meaningful information and had a great bedside manner.

I'm so happy with the care that I received even this being the first visit with him. I've had other problems with my OB's in the past and I expressed concerns about care and Dr. Cotter exceeded all my expectations and answered all my questions. Even with following up, he was very detailed with everything. I'm so happy to have him as my doctor!

The Doctor was very kind and had a great interaction with my daughter. He even greeted her with a few books a d had her choose one for her to keep. He made her visit very comfortable and easy to interact with. I was very pleased with his service.
